A definite must-have. The ROM Expander is a one-trick app: it expands the ROM. By adding another megabyte to the Earthbound ROM, it enables hackers to have much more space for things such as map data hacking, text hacking, and other uses. Non-hackers also need this to play hacks such as JonBound.

iDC is an editor for the Don't Care text in Earthbound. With iDC, you can easily change Ness', Paula's, Jeff's, and Poo's default names as well as the other variables that the user sets at the beginning of the game.
